I'm excited for you! You sold your book and you got a job that will give you "waiting on publication day" income. I am an administrative assistant (since June 2021), and I love what I do. It's frustrating to know that my writing is going better than it ever has and want more time for it, but because I worked here when I was 21? it added to my longevity on the job in a way that sets me up to retire when I'm 65. (I'm 57.). By that time my goal is to have three novels out :) AGAIN, CONGRATULATIONS!
Your situation sounds perfect! I'm certain you are going to have those three novels out by the time you retire! I love the "waiting on publication day" income idea. <3
Thank you! I'm learning to be much more adaptable as I age. The ride may make me a bit nauseous, but I'm ready to get back on once I have my sea legs back. :)
Good for you, Katrina. I am happy for you. Decisions are so hard to make, but it sounds like you are moving in a good, new direction. And you are an incredible writer, so you know you have a community here supporting you.
WOO HOO! Trying to not create a tsunami 🌊 your way of the heartiest congratulations I have. 🎉This IS amazing as are YOU! Of course, this is a both/and situation. You will have so much coming in to write about and it will be on your time table. I am happy dancing 💃 and haven’t even put in The Bee Gees yet! 🤩
You've got this. Of course you do. Do it for the short term -- six months, a year. See where you are then -- when HL is ready to come out. See where you are. I'm proud of you for grabbing the ring. You've got this. xxx
Congratulations on what is sounding like a fulfilling time of doing what you love, and getting the money to help you live. We all should be able to enjoy our work, and feel rewarded that we are accomplishing something of value. 👏
Congratulations, Katrina...so happy for you!! And you're keeping me inspired to continue revising my novel while also working in a challenging industry.
Congratulations! — It sounds like a good opportunity. As you already know, you can still write around a full-time job. You did, and many of us do. Your “post-the-last-job experience” is really disheartening.
I’ve worked in a job that I’ve not enjoyed for the last 10 years because I needed the Loan Forgiveness the Government offers.
Now that I’m free, I’m 60 and well, forget about getting hired anywhere meaningful at my age. I identify so with what you write! Again CONGRATULATIONS and now you can thumb your nose at the loud, noisy, white men!

Wow!!! Congratulations! As a fellow corporate survivor, I applaud your willingness to never say never — brave and beautiful! 🙌 enjoy the ride 🤍

Thank you so much, Jeannie! I'm excited right now. We'll see how I feel in March. ;)
I know corporate jobs suck but congrats nonetheless!
Ha! They do, indeed, but the honeymoon phase is fun. We'll see if we can make it last. :)

It's time to put the Bee Gees on!!! Even John Travolta agrees! :) Thanks for the hearty congrats! <3

How exciting! This sounds like a wonderful fit for you. No matter our age, we can try new things and become new versions of ourselves. Keep going!

Thanks, friend. I’m always here, and you can call me any time. I’m not sure I have much value to offer, but I’d love to hear your voice. <3
Awesome, and well-deserved! Can’t wait for more updates.
Thank you, Cole! :)
