Katrina, I love your humor about menopause. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago, shortly before I turned 40, and I'm starting to get night sweats and hot flashes. Ugh. Sometimes I feel like we're thinking of parallel things: just yesterday I scheduled a Substack post for April, which was a reflection on my changing midlife body. Love Hester Ectomy. He's adorbs. :)
I had my first hot flash at work yesterday. My man-boss kept asking me if I was okay as I started fanning myself and tugging on my sweater and throwing my scarf across the room. I just looked at him and said "hot flash" and he backed away and said "oh no". As I was contagious lol I love fans and am going to promptly buy one to throw around my neck so it will perpetually blow in my face forever lol

My immunoglobulin treatments last fall launched me directly and unceremoniously into perimenopause. Wicked hot flashes, thinning hair, vaginal pain. I definitely feel you with this fan! 🥵
