Underbabied is the most ridiculous word/concept I've ever heard and it tracks for this administration, none of whom have a clue what is actually happening in this country. God...everyday, another downfall from our government. But, you're writing nailed it. Brava.

(I'm going to call myself underweighted, too. ;)

I literally gasped when he said it. I mean ... come on!!

Underbabied! All of this, plus the complete lack of competent reproductive health policy, forcing ob-gyn doctors to flee from some states.

One hundred percent, Mary. It's so ludicrous. All of it.

You make such excellent points. All of them are spot on!

When I hear that the country has a shortage of babies, I guess the concern is there aren’t enough people in future generations to do the work and pay taxes. Makes you wonder why there is such an all out effort to run immigrants away. So insane and self-defeating.

Because only white babies matter, right? Ugh. This country...

Best Mother’s Day essay. Thank you for keeping honest information at the forefront. It all makes my blood boil.

Mine, too, Sarelle. Mine, too.

The best Mother's Day Day essay ever. Thank you.

Thanks, Deborah. It's all so infuriating.

I chose not to have children because I would be lousy at it. My mum very much resented being a stay at home mum because that is what people did back then and although I love my Mum very much my early years were not a great experience.

This ‘underbabied’ nonsense is just more fascist talking points - get the women popping out white babies to outbreed the swarthy hordes! Also we need soldiers to fight our stupid colonial wars or join ICE and terrify liberal cities.

These aren’t babies meant to be loved, these are babies meant to be shipped off as cannon fodder before they even know who they are.

It's horrifying on every level, isn't it? This country breaks my heart every damn day. It no longer surprises me, but it still disappoints.
